Come join us then, for A Night of Halloween Classics - An Evening of Poe with Miss Helen McKenna. Miss McKenna mesmerizes audiences as she performs a dramatization from the haunting tales of Edgar Allan Poe. Visitors will sit spellbound as the 19th Century author comes to life in this performance in this evening of true theatre.
Helen has been a US Park Ranger, working at the Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site in Philadelphia for ten years. She first became fascinated with the author, while performing The Raven for an acting class at Holy Cross High School in Delran, NJ. Possessing an undergraduate degree in acting and recently receiving her graduate degree from Rutgers University, Helen has dedicated her life to researching the "master of the macabre" and interpreting his life and times.
The performance is at the Howell Works Christ Church Chapel National Historic Site and is limited to 100 persons. Advance ticket purchases are recommended.
