Join the Allaire Village Auxiliary for their Nautical Tea at Allaire State Park in the All Purpose Building. This Tea is a fundraiser for the Historic Village at Allaire, operated by Allaire Village Inc. The Allaire Village Auxiliary will be serving sandwiches, desserts and of course tea with a nautical themed program. Ticket’s are $15.00 a person, and can be reserved by calling Kathy at 732-364-2279. There is limited seating, so please call in advance.
The Historic Village at Allaire is a nineteenth century industrial town, owned by marine engine producer and steamship operator, James P Allaire. The property was bought in 1822 to supplement the supplies need for Allaire’s Iron Work’s in New York City. Allaire worked in partnership with steam engine inventor, Robert Fulton. The Auxiliary Tea, this year, celebrates the nautical ties the Howell Iron Works (presently Allaire Village) had.
Allaire Village Incorporated is licensed by the State of New Jersey to operate the 40-acre, Historic Village at Allaire, the site of James P. Allaire’s Howell Iron Works Company in the 1830’s. Allaire Village Incorporated is able to present, throughout the year, many fine quality educational and interpretive programs. These programs are made possible by the support of private donations, membership fees, fundraising events, admission fees, and the patronage of our General Store and Bakery.
The Historic Village at Allaire is located in Allaire State Park on Route 524, 4265 Atlantic Avenue, in Farmingdale, Monmouth County, New Jersey, off Exit 98 of the Garden State Parkway and off Exit 31B of Interstate 195. For more information, contact the Allaire Village office during business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm at 732-919-3500 or visit our website, at www.allairevillage.org.
